| Durante el pasado Gamelab, Vitual Toys fue galardonada con dos importantes premios, al mejor estudio español del 2007 y al mejor producto para la plataforma Nintendo DS con el título HORSEZ. Los días 10 y 11 de Julio de 2008 se ha celebrado la IV edición de Gamelab, Encuentros Internacionales de la Industria del Entretenimiento Electrónico en Gijón, España. En esta ocasión el Principado de Asturias recogió el evento con dos intensas jornadas cargadas de novedades y contenidos de interés. En el año 2007 más de 60 compañías nacionales presentaron 130 títulos, algunas con importantes ventas internacionales, como Virtual Toys que ha vendido más de cuatro millones de copias entre sus títulos “HorseZ”, “Imagina ser Diseñadora de Moda” e “Imagina ser Veterinaria” para Nintendo DS.
Estos éxitos internacionales han motivado que el jurado de los premios Gamelab, formado por reconocidos profesionales del sector del videojuego español, hayan galardonado al estudio madrileño con dos importantes premios, Mejor juego del año para la consola Nintendo DS con HorseZ y Mejor Estudio español del año 2007. Los responsables de Virtual Toys agradecieron a la organización de Gamelab este reconocimiento durante el acto de clausura del certamen celebrado en el Casino de Gijón. En el mismo se entregaron otros premios a los mejores juegos para PC, móvil, online, consola y publicación especializada. Virtual Toys es una productora independiente, creada en 1.995, dedicada al desarrollo de videojuegos y ubicada en Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid). Cuenta con una amplia experiencia en producción para los distintos tipos de consolas, siendo desarrollador oficial de TODAS las plataformas existentes en la actualidad. Tiene estudios de desarrollo en Madrid, Barcelona y Castellón. El equipo de Virtual Toys ha desarrollado productos de todo tipo de géneros, entre los que hay más de 40 títulos para consolas y PC, consiguiendo situarse a la cabeza de los estudios de desarrollo de la consola de Nintendo. En la actualidad títulos como “HorseZ” o “Imagina ser Diseñadora de Moda”, han convertido a la empresa en un referente mundial. La industria del Videojuego factura hoy día más que el cine, el DVD y la música juntos y tiene empresas españolas triunfando en todo el mundo. Durante el 2007 creció un 50% en nuestro país pasando de los 967 millones en el 2006 a 1.454 millones de euros, mientras que las taquillas de cine facturaban 644 millones en el mismo año.

Virtual Toys has signed a contract with Ubisoft for five new tittles for the next year. Three of this games will be developed for the Nintendo DS and the other two for the Nintendo Wii.
Also, Virtual Toys has signed other contract to develop another XBOX Live Arcade game in 2008, with an important publisher.
The games, now in pre-production state, will be ready for the end of the next year 2008.

This Christmas Ubisoft will release worldwide three tittles for the Nintendo DS developed by Virtual Toys, Pet Horsez 2 DS, Imagine Pet Vet DS and Imagine fashion designer DS.
The three titles, “Gold Master” now, will be published worldwide October to November and will be supported by a big press and television publicity campaign.
Also, in 2008 will be published in 360 Live Arcade the tittle HoopWorld that Virtual Toys develops with StreamLine Studios.
This way, Virtual Toys is consolidated as one of the teams of development leaders in Europe.

Virtual toys has opened new offices in Valencia. The study joins those that the company has in Madrid and Barcelona.
This new office of the company will center on the development of games for last generation consoles, like Wii, Playstatión 3 and X-Box 360. The first game will be a Wii project.

Although still unknow the global sales of video games in the last trimester in Europe and America, Horsez DS is on his way of reaching the number of a million copies sold in the whole world.
The game, since it was released in November of the last year, has been in the first positions of the lists of the whole Europe and the United States.

Rafa Nadal Tennis DS is between the best selling titles is Spain. The game has been nominated in some categories for this year Campus Party's prizes. Also in Europe, Rafa Nadal Tennis is between the best selling titles.
In the other side, Horsez for DS continues strong worldwide. Since its publication, November last year, the game has reached the first selling places all over the world. In Spain, Horsez is in the top 10 of the bestselling titles for some months.

The Ubisoft game Horsez, developed by Virtual Toys, have reached the 8th position in the french general videogames top list. Alexandra Ledermann, how is known this videogame in France, is going up quickly in the lists. We hope that it does not stop and that soon it monopolizes the lists of other countries of Europe and America.

The best all time spanish tennis player, and current number two of the world, Rafa Nadal, this morning presented in the central offices of KIA motor Spain the game branded with his name, and that has been developed in the madrilenian studies of Virtual Toys. The manacorí affirmed to be very proud that a game uses his image “… I have appeared in other videogames, but this is my own game and I am very proud of it”.
Before the intervention of Nadal, Jesus Iglesias, the Virtual Toys CEO, made a description of the game, explaining to the press its general features. After the presentation, the young tennis player disputed a virtual match with which already it is his official game.

Virtual Toys has reached an agreement to partner with Streamline Studios on the development of Streamline's title HoopWorld™ for XBox 360 Live Arcade. The game will be developed jointly, with engineering and production at Virtual Toys in Spain and graphics and primary design responsibilities at Streamline Studios in the Netherlands.
With this development partnership, Virtual Toys has taken an important step forward into the arena of development for next generation consoles.

Very soon will hit the stores HORSEZ for the Nintendo DS game console. Distributed by Ubi Soft, Horsez has been developed by Virtual Toys, in collaboration with Lexis Numérique. This title is included in a new game line that Ubisoft will publish this year: Horsez, Catz, Dogz and Hamsterz.
In Horsez game, the player will be inmersed in an adventure in a equestrian centre, with many horses and colts that you have to wash, brush, train and take care for.
The title will be available in the European and North American markets.
